My name is Yutaka Matsuo. I am an associate professor at the University of Tokyo (UT), working on Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence. I got my Ph.D degree from the University of Tokyo in 2002. From Oct. 2005 to Oc. 2007, I was a visiting scholar at CSLI, Stanford University. [Vita]

My current research interests are in web mining, social networks, and online social media. We have developed social network mining system called POLYPHONET. [Research topics] [Publication]

I belong to Department of Technology Management for Innovation (at Graduate School) and Program for Social Innovation (for undergraduates). Students who want to join my lab have to enter the department. I am collaboratively running a laboratory with Prof. Matsushima. His major is on MOT (management of technology), innovation, and business models. Students who wants to work with him can also join my lab.
